DISNEY+ AT SIP AND SONDER 𖦹

To celebrate Black History Month and promote the reboot of The Proud Family on Disney+, the platform partnered with local Los Angeles coffeehouse and roastery Sip & Sonder—a Black woman-owned business in Inglewood. The in-store activation brought the characters and narratives of Disney’s Celebrate Black Stories collection to life by recreating The Proud Family living room within the space. Customized cups and pastry bags were designed to complement the theme, creating a memorable experience for patrons.

The goal was to authentically promote Disney+’s Celebrate Black Stories collection and The Proud Family reboot while engaging the local community.

The challenge was executing this unique collaboration between a major brand and a beloved local coffee shop in a way that respected both the show's legacy and the shop's cultural significance.

THE CHALLENGE

WHAT I DID

𖦹

WHAT I DID 𖦹

I worked closely with the Project Director and agency partners to manage the event’s execution, overseeing event deliverables and client-facing documents like proposals and production schedules. I scheduled social media content for agency channels to promote the activation, and coordinated the logistics behind distributing over 3,000 branded beverages and pastries. I also ensured that production specs and vendor quotes aligned with the project’s budget and goals while facilitating communication between teams to keep everything on track.

THE IMPACT

The activation ran for 13 days and successfully brought over 3,000 people into Sip & Sonder, who engaged with Disney+ content in a creative and culturally relevant way. The event strengthened the partnership between Disney+ and the local Black community, with over 4,000 Proud Family buttons distributed.

The collaboration highlighted Disney’s commitment to celebrating Black stories while supporting a Black woman-owned business, leaving a lasting positive impact.
